The trimming press with 4 columns, built among machines directive 2006/42/CE, is the classic vertical press used for trimming, finishing and cleaning of casted pieces. It has a completely protected structure and it can be used in an automatic cell with robot or separately with the operator.
The trimming press can work in three ways:

MANUAL: all machine movements can be settled manually by the correspondent buttons or manual selectors of the command push-button.

SEMI-AUTOMATIC: start cycle is made by the operator.

AUTOMATIC: start cycle is made from an external command (Robot).

The producing process of the trimming press is completely automatic, as the settled cycle phases, except the operations of pieces charging and consent to start, made manually by the operator or by the interfaced robot. All cycle phases are visualized on an operator panel. Based on the needs and the optional equipments installed and in function, it’s possible choose the best working cycle, including or excluding some parts.

It’s possible to complete the trimming press with different options, by request.


The piece ejection is the operation made after the trimming phase and consists in the ejection of piece from the mould. Because of different needs of pieces ejection, we have designed and realized two kind of solutions:

– UNIVERSAL EJECTION: it’s the mostly used solution, it permits a balanced piece ejection, by fixing apposite columns at the ejection plate and also permits a central pushing; the plate movement is controlled with sensors or position transducer.

– CENTRAL EJECTION: it permits to eject the trimmed piece operating in the center of mould, by pushing the ejection cylinder rod specially dimensioned.

This system is an integral part of the press and it’s fixed above the mobile plate (if present), it guarantees the piece ejection from the upper demi-mould, a good piece ejection on the mould during the trimming phase and also that piece after trimming stays positioned in the lower demi-mould, for an eventual discharging without unloading tray.




The sliding table is an option adapt when the robot cannot make charging and discharging operations between the trimming press plates. This equipment permits to charge pieces outside the working zone. The electric movement is made by a gear-motor and special guides, it permits the inferior mould sliding inside and outside the machine, approaching at the charge point. After the robot start, the sliding table moves into the machine and than comes out when trimming operation is finished. The accurate sliding guarantees the exact position of charging and discharging from the mould.


The sliding table, with integrated the table tilting 180°, is a good solution in die-casting cells where there is a minimum presence of operators. This equipment joins the sliding table and the tilting table advantages.

The sliding table, moved by hydraulic cylinders, permits at the table to enter and come outside from the trimming zone, for easily charging operations from the robot, and the electric movement of the gear-motor permits for each cycle a complete mould cleaning, with the movement 0-180°. Usually the cell is completed with a conveyer belt that collects pieces and flashes, and bring them outside the cell.

UNLOADING TRAY (Hydraulic and pneumatic)

The unloading tray is a primary equipment to complete the supply of the trimming press, for pieces unloading after finishing. The 2 categories of functioning, pneumatic and hydraulic, have many solutions, to guarantee the best efficiency. It’s fixed at the structure of the press and its high can be settled, the unloading tray comes into the working zone between the 2 demi-moulds, to collect the ejected pieces. By one or more hydraulic or pneumatic actuators, or combined, and special sliding guides, it’s easy to identify the best solution for the cell and for the pieces unloading. The unloading tray works in the automatic production cycle and its functioning can be integrated with other options, like photocells for pieces control and weighting systems.
